Stockholm Palace is a baroque royal palace designed by Nicodemus Tessin the Younger and completed in 1760, and it is still where the King holds official receptions. One ticket covers three quite different visits: the state rooms of the Royal Apartments, the regalia in the Treasury, and the Museum Three Crowns, so families can split the day between the grand rooms and the treasures.
The trade-off is that the palace is in use. The Royal Apartments can be fully or partly closed on reception days, and the whole palace is closed on 19 October 2026; only closures for September and October have been published so far, so later dates are not yet known.
With small children, there is stroller parking outside the Southern vault entrance, though the palace does not say whether strollers can go inside the apartments.
