Gröna Lund is laid out as a Small Area and a Large Area, and the shortcut between them is a flight of steep steps — with a stroller or a wheelchair you go round via the Main Entrance or the Tyrol Entrance instead, which costs you a few minutes each time you swap sides. Everyone passes metal detectors and a security check on the way in, strollers and wheelchairs included, so allow for that at the gate. Your own food is welcome inside, along with drinks in plastic bottles and a thermos; glass stays outside, with baby food jars as the stated exception. Restaurants take drop-in guests only in the middle of the day. Medics are on duty whenever the park is open, in the sjukstuga to the left of Stora Scen, and there are calmer corners at Classic café and the jetty below the Boardwalk, with ear defenders for children and adults sold in the Coke store.
