3 Perfect Days in Paris with Kids

Updated 19 Oct 2026 · 3 days · €€

Paris rewards families who slow down. This plan clusters each day around one area, with a famous sight in the morning and a free park or playground in the afternoon, and saves a full day for Disneyland Paris.

How this plan works

Each day stays in one part of Paris: a famous sight in the morning, a park or playground in the afternoon. Day three is a full day at Disneyland Paris. Every place has its own page on JuniorTravelClub with opening times and the full family facts.

Day 1: The Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars

Start at the Eiffel Tower, an observation tower children can climb inside: three levels, an open-air platform at the top, and stairs as an alternative to the lift on the way up. Choose your ticket carefully, because a second-floor ticket cannot be changed later and does not take you to the summit.

Afterwards, the Champ de Mars right below has a puppet show, a pony ride and a sandpit, so a restless afternoon can move from one to the next. Across the river, the Trocadéro gardens are free and always open, with paths, pools and a large fountain.

Day 2: The Louvre and the garden parks

Children get into the Louvre free, and the Studio gives families a space of their own inside the museum. Keep the visit short and choose a few rooms in advance.

Then walk out into the Tuileries Garden, free to enter, where children push sailboats across the pond, ride the carousel and jump on the trampolines. If they still have energy, the Jardin du Luxembourg adds free sandboxes, a children’s treasure hunt, ponies, puppets and free toilets.

Day 3: Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris plans for small children in detail: baby care in both parks, changing tables in most restrooms, character dining for any meal and a way for parents to share the big rides without queuing twice. Arrive at opening, when the queues are shortest.

If it rains

Swap a park afternoon for the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, where the Cité des enfants is built for children and strollers can be borrowed at the cloakroom, or the Aquarium de Paris, where the shows and shark feedings are included in the ticket.

If you have a fourth day

Parc Astérix, north of Paris, is the other big theme park near the city. Plan lunch before the queues decide it for you: the two sit-down restaurants serve from 11:30 to 15:00 on every opening day.

Final thoughts

Book the Eiffel Tower and Disneyland Paris ahead, keep the Louvre visit short, and let the parks fill the afternoons. Check each page for opening times before you travel.
