Royal Burgers’ Zoo

Royal Burgers' Zoo in Arnhem was founded in 1913. On a wet day the fully covered Kids Jungle gives children somewhere to play under a roof, next to two outdoor playgrounds.

OUR FAMILY ASSESSMENT

Family Intelligence

The bus from Arnhem station stops right outside the entrance. Just past the gate, near the toilets, there are lockers for heavy or valuable bags.

For children there are three play areas: Avonturenland and the Speelbeek are outdoor playgrounds, and the Kids Jungle is fully indoors. You can bring your own buggy, pram or pull-along wagon. First-aid posts are at the main entrance, the Park Restaurant, the Bush Restaurant and the Safari Meeting Centre, and the first-aid rooms at the first three can also be used for breastfeeding or pumping. Accessible toilets are at the entrance, both restaurants, the playground and near the Safari Meeting Centre.

The trade-off is that you can’t pop out. Leaving the zoo ends your admission, and you can only come back in special cases agreed with one of the staff checking tickets. The Park Restaurant and the Bush Restaurant are both inside the grounds.
