The Planetarium of Bogotá is a science museum and planetarium, open to the public since 1969. Its family draw is Planetario Nocturno, a monthly evening when most activities are free, including a children’s science session in the planetarium’s own children’s room. Free comes with a catch: places are capped and handed out first come, first served until the room or dome is full, so arriving early decides what you get into. Not every dome show is pitched at young children; the laser music shows are suggested for older kids.

Why kids will love it

Besides the dome shows there is a children’s science session, ‘Todos hacemos ciencia’, held in a room set aside for children.
