Getting there
The nearest TransMilenio station is Museo del Oro.
From the station
Leave by the station's east side and walk four blocks south along Carrera 6a.
Parking
Public car park at the Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango, entrance at Carrera 5a No. 11-68, open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Step-free access
Visitors with reduced mobility enter through the main entrance of the Museo de Arte Miguel Urrutia (MAMU), Calle 11 No. 4-21.

Because entry costs nothing and there is no reservation to make, the Botero Museum works as a short stop you can fit around a child’s energy rather than a ticket you have to get your money’s worth from. If you want some explanation along the way, join one of the guided tours; they run at fixed times and you simply turn up.

The trade-off is for anyone with a pushchair or wheelchair: step-free access is not through the museum’s own door but through the main entrance of the Museo de Arte Miguel Urrutia, so plan your approach from that side.

Inside, photos are fine, but not with a flash, lights or a tripod.
