Paris Zoological Park was founded in 1934 and sits within reach of the Metro: besides the station closest on foot, you can take line 1 to Château de Vincennes and then bus 46, or come directly on buses 46, 86, 201 and 325. Individual visitors do not book a day or a time slot; only activities are reserved.
The one thing to weigh is commitment to the day. Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged, and rain, storms or heat are not accepted as reasons to cancel a visit, though a ticket can be used on any day the park is open within its validity period. Children under three go free but still need a ticket, the only free ticket available online.
On site, stroller rental is available: pay at the ticket desk, collect at the information point and leave ID as a deposit. The Monument Café and Le Zarafa both offer a vegetarian choice and a children’s menu. Oversized bags are not accepted anywhere on the site, and the ticket desk takes card, cash, cheque and paper ANCV holiday vouchers. The park is fully accessible to visitors with motor disabilities and can be visited independently by those with reduced mobility; wheelchairs are lent against an ID document as deposit.
