Height is what decides which rides your child can go on at Disneyland Paris. The good news for families with small children is how few rides have a limit at all. Of the 50 attractions on the resort’s official list, ten have a minimum height and the other 40 are marked “Any Height”. This guide lists all ten, shows what each height unlocks, and sets out the rules on age and supervision that sit alongside the height limits.

Quick answer

 • Lowest limit: 81 cm, for Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop and Autopia (on Autopia, with someone at least 132 cm tall).
 • Highest limit: 1.40 m, for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril.
 • The key height is 1.20 m: at that height a child can go on every ride except Indiana Jones, and Autopia still needs a taller driver.
 • No minimum: 40 attractions, including Frozen Ever After, Peter Pan’s Flight, Dumbo and Pirates of the Caribbean.
 • Parents can take turns: Rider Switch means you don’t have to queue twice.

What each height unlocks

This table adds up the official limits, so you can measure your child at home and see the picture straight away. It counts only the ten rides with a limit; the 40 “Any Height” attractions are open at every height.

Your child’s heightRides with a limit they can go on
Under 81 cmNone of the ten. All 40 “Any Height” attractions remain.
81 cm to 1.01 mToy Soldiers Parachute Drop, Autopia with a driver of at least 132 cm
1.02 m to 1.06 mAdds Big Thunder Mountain, Star Tours, Tower of Terror
1.07 m to 1.19 mAdds Crush’s Coaster
1.20 m to 1.31 mAdds Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, RC Racer, Hyperspace Mountain
1.32 m to 1.39 mAdds driving Autopia alone
1.40 m and overAll ten, with Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril

Two marks add the most rides: 1.02 m and 1.20 m each open three. If your child is close to either and your dates are flexible, that may affect when you choose to go.

Rides with no height requirement

The official list marks these as “Any Height”. They are grouped by area so you can plan a route around the youngest.

Disneyland Park

 • Fantasyland: “it’s a small world”, Alice’s Curious Labyrinth, Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains, Casey Jr., Dumbo the Flying Elephant, La Galerie de la Belle au Bois Dormant, La Tanière du Dragon, Le Carrousel de Lancelot, Le Pays des Contes de Fées, Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups, Peter Pan’s Flight, Sleeping Beauty Castle, Les Voyages de Pinocchio.
 • Adventureland: Adventure Isle, La Cabane des Robinson, Le Passage Enchanté d’Aladdin, Pirates of the Caribbean, Pirates’ Beach, Pirate Galleon.
 • Frontierland: Frontierland Playground, Phantom Manor, Rustler Roundup Shootin’ Gallery, Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing.
 • Discoveryland: Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Les Mystères du Nautilus, Orbitron.
 • Main Street U.S.A.: Discovery Arcade, Horse-Drawn Streetcars, Liberty Arcade, Main Street Vehicles, Disneyland Railroad.

Disney Adventure World

 • World of Frozen: Frozen Ever After.
 • Worlds of Pixar: Cars Quatre Roues Rallye, Cars ROAD TRIP, Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy, Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin.
 • Adventure Way: Raiponce Tangled Spin.
 • Avengers Campus: Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure.
 • World Premiere Plaza: Les Tapis Volants, World Premiere.

Any Height does not mean suitable for every child. The official list tags some attractions as “May Frighten Younger Guests”, including Blanche-Neige et les Sept Nains and La Tanière du Dragon. The Theme Parks Rules also say certain shows, attractions and events may frighten small children and may be not advisable or not allowed for children under the age of one, and that staff can give you the current list.

Age and supervision rules

Height is only one of the checks. The official Theme Parks Rules also set these limits:

 • Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent aged 15 or over, or a responsible adult, for ticket purchase and entry to the parks.
 • Disneyland Paris can refuse attraction access to children under seven who aren’t accompanied by an adult aged 15 or over or a responsible adult. Height and age checks may be carried out at attraction entrances for unaccompanied children.
 • Height restrictions apply, and the rules add that seats and safety systems may not suit every body shape or size. Visitors need enough upper body strength to sit properly in the ride vehicle.

Rider Switch: when one child is too small

If one child is under the limit and both parents want to ride, use Rider Switch. Disneyland Paris describes it as a free service that lets parents take turns without queuing twice:

 1. The first parent queues while the second waits outside with the children.
 2. At the exit, the first parent collects the Rider Switch pass and hands it to the second parent.
 3. The second parent then rides without queuing again.

For how other parks handle this, read rider switch and parent swap explained.

Tickets and small children

Disneyland Paris says child tickets apply to ages 3 to 11, and children under 3 go free. You must register your visit date in advance, subject to capacity, and tickets can’t be bought at the park entrance. The official ticket page is the place to check current terms before booking.

Planning around a height limit

 • Measure before you go and compare against the tables above, so nobody is promised a ride they can’t go on.
 • Start the day where the height fits. Fantasyland has the longest “Any Height” list for the youngest, while Discoveryland and Worlds of Pixar each have three rides with a limit.
 • Use the official app on the day to see attraction details and live wait times. Add rides to your Wishlist in advance.
 • Think about baby care. Baby Care Centres are on Main Street, U.S.A. near Plaza Gardens Restaurant and next to Studio Services in Disney Adventure World, and pushchairs can be hired in both parks.

Final thoughts

Measure your child, check the table and plan the day around what they can ride: 81 cm, 1.02 m and 1.20 m are the marks that matter most. Confirm ride status in the official app on the day, and use Rider Switch so both parents get a turn.
