Check the park rules first
What you can bring differs from park to park. IMG Worlds of Adventure does not allow outside food, while Shanghai Disneyland lets you bring small snacks, water and baby food, but no wagons. Every park page on JuniorTravelClub lists the food and stroller rules, so read it before you pack.
The essentials
- Tickets, passes and the park app on a charged phone
- A portable power bank: tickets, maps and wait times all run on your phone
- ID or passports if the park asks for them (Shanghai Disneyland needs the physical passport of every visitor)
- A note of each child’s height, so you can plan rides before you queue
- Your phone number on each child, on a wristband or a card in a pocket; some parks hand out free wristbands at guest services
Food and drink
- A refillable water bottle for each child
- Snacks for queues, where the park allows them
- Baby food or formula for the youngest
Weather
- Sun hats and sunscreen
- A light rain jacket or poncho for each person
- A spare top for each child: water rides, splash areas and ice cream all happen
For babies and toddlers
- Nappies, wipes and a portable changing mat
- A baby carrier for rides and areas where the stroller has to stay outside
- A light blanket for a nap in the stroller
- A comfort toy
Useful extras
- Zip-lock bags for wet clothes and phones on water rides
- Plasters and child painkillers
- A small card for card-only parks; some parks and museums no longer take cash
Leave at home
- Large bags: many parks check bags at the gate, and lockers cost extra
- A wagon or oversized stroller where the park sets size limits
