Vancouver Aquarium was founded in 1956 and is reached through Stanley Park. Entry works on timed tickets: you choose a date and an entry time, and once you are inside there is no limit on how long you stay. Adult prices vary with the date you pick. For younger children the place to head for is Clownfish Cove, where the aquarium’s only tunnel is designed for them. Until 31 October 2026 the Fin-tastic Fall Festival adds underwater pumpkin-carving dive shows and seasonal animal programmes.
The trade-off is flexibility. Daily ticket capacity is limited, tickets bought at the door cannot guarantee entry when the day fills up, and every purchase is final and non-refundable, so booking ahead means committing to your date and time.
Wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge at the Guest Services desk, mobility scooters are permitted, and washrooms for motorised or oversized wheelchairs are in the Frogs Forever and Tech Engagement galleries.
