Playland is an amusement park inside Vancouver, and a day here is about rides. Every ride and attraction has its own height and physical restrictions, posted at the individual ride, so measure your children before you go and check the sign at each entrance.
Timing is the one thing you control. The park itself advises skipping the opening rush and coming on a weekday for shorter waits.
The trade-off is the weather. Playland gives no rain cheques and no refunds when rides or the whole park close, so a doubtful forecast puts the ticket at risk.
Keep the annual summer fair (the PNE Fair) separate in your plans: it is its own event, and during the fair, admission does not include Playland’s rides.
You don’t need a car. Several bus stops are a short walk from the main entrance, there is a bike rack by the gate, and drivers can use short-stay pick-up and drop-off zones around the site.
