Santa Park is a Christmas-themed park built inside a cavern in Rovaniemi, founded in 1998. The day is a string of small experiences rather than big rides: children join Elf School and leave with a diploma and trainee hat, decorate gingerbread, make handicrafts in the Elf Workshop, ride the Magic Train and cross the Arctic Circle underground before reaching Santa’s own office. Every guest gets a private meeting with him, and you can take as many photos as you like with your own camera. The Elf Show runs three to four times a day and can be watched from the Kota restaurant while you eat.
It is a winter-only venue: the 2026/27 season starts at the turn of October and November and runs into January. The trade-off is timing. Close to Christmas the cavern gets lively, and the park recommends coming in the morning or later in the evening for a calmer visit.
