Santa Claus Office

Open daily 10:00-17:00 until 23 October, 10:00-18:00 until 15 November, 09:00-19:00 until 29 November, and 08:00-20:00 from 30 November to 3 January 2027.

Christmas House

Christmas House Santa Claus is open daily 9:00-18:00 until 18 October (closed 29-30 September for renovation), 9:00-19:00 until 22 November, and 9:00-20:00 until 23 December.

Santa can be met every day of the year at Santa Claus Office or in Christmas House.

Main Post Office

Santa Claus' Main Post Office is open daily 10:00-17:00 until 30 October, 10:00-18:00 in November, and 9:00-20:00 from 1 December to 6 January 2027.

Getting there

The village has a taxi rank.

Santa Claus Village, founded in 1985, is not a single attraction but more than 50 companies working side by side, each with its own opening hours, so there is no one timetable for the village as a whole. Santa receives visitors in two of them, Santa Claus Office and Christmas House Santa Claus; entry to Christmas House is free.

Rovaniemi’s local bus number 8 runs between the city centre and the village all year round, and from November to March private express buses also link the village with the centre and the airport.

The trade-off is timing: most companies keep longer hours during the Christmas season from the end of November to early January, which is also the village’s busiest period.

Why kids will love it

Children can meet Santa on any day of the year, not only at Christmas. In early winter the village also opens the Christmas season with a ceremony called Countdown to Christmas, held every year on a date that changes from year to year.
