The catch is timing. The Glasshouse shuts well before the rest of the garden, and the Old Laboratory and Hilltop also close ahead of the main gates, so do the buildings first and leave the open-air walking for later in the day. For lunch, the Food Hall overlooks Seven Acres and has hot and cold meals for kids; the Glasshouse Kitchen serves pizza, pasta and sandwiches, and you order at the bar. Adults who arrive by bus, bike or on foot can buy a reduced car-free ticket, but only with proof of car-free travel on arrival.
