Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a theme park at Walt Disney World, founded in 1989, and most of what it offers children comes straight from films and TV. Toy Story Land is laid out as Andy’s backyard, with Toy Story pals around for playtime. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway takes you into the cartoon world for a picnic with Mickey, Minnie and friends.
Much of the day here is shows rather than rides. Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!, listed as new, is built on upbeat songs with Mickey, Minnie and other Disney pals appearing on stage. At For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, the Royal Historians of Arendelle lead the audience through Frozen songs. The Magic of Disney Animation, also new, teaches you to draw Disney characters. Disney and Pixar characters also turn up throughout the park.
Food follows the same idea. Hollywood & Vine puts Disney characters at the table for breakfast, lunch or dinner, Roundup Rodeo BBQ is themed as if you were one of Andy’s toys, the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant plays sci-fi movie clips in a retro setting, and The Hollywood Brown Derby leans on Golden Age Hollywood glamour.
Two evening events are listed as special ticket events, on select nights only: Disney Jollywood Nights, a holiday celebration from 7 November 2026 to 5 January 2027, and Disney After Hours, with lower wait times and snacks, from 16 January to 25 August 2027.
The trade-off is shared by every Walt Disney World park: skipping the standby line at select attractions costs extra. Lightning Lane passes are paid for days before your visit, when you also choose experiences and arrival windows, and some experiences run a virtual queue instead. Theme park reservations may be required too, depending on your date and ticket type.
