Beyond the animal enclosures, the zoo map shows a children’s zoo, a farm with domestic animals and a rope centre, plus the Restaurace Tajga for a sit-down meal. The Skanzen, the Stará Ves open-air museum, is free. The one thing to budget for is that the rides are not part of admission: the Safari Express, its evening version and the Zoovláček zoo train are each paid separately, with the youngest children riding free. Visitors with a pushchair can get an ‘Adult with Stroller’ ticket or pass, which opens a special gate for strollers. The published opening hours apply to the ticket offices; once inside you can stay until dusk and leave through one-way turnstiles.
