Changgyeonggung is open into the evening every day except Monday, but not all of it: at a set time that changes through the year, visitors in the daytime zone are asked to move to the evening area, which covers Honghwamun, Myeongjeongjeon, Tongmyeongjeon, Chundangji and the Great Greenhouse area. The greenhouse interior itself has restricted evening opening that varies by season. Entry is free for foreign visitors under adult age, for anyone wearing hanbok, and for everyone on the last Wednesday of each month. The trade-off is the regular guided tour: it is pitched at a general audience and may be hard for preschoolers and younger primary-school children to follow, and children joining it must be accompanied by a guardian.
