The Belvedere is a Baroque palace in Vienna designed by Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt, founded in 1714 and listed as a protected monument in Austria. It is visited as two buildings, the Upper and the Lower Belvedere, and you can buy either one or a combined day ticket. With a combined ticket, the time slot you pick applies to the Upper Belvedere, so plan the day around that entry and fit the Lower Belvedere before or after. Families can join family workshops, where adults take part alongside the children and the event ticket already covers admission. The trade-off for travellers is luggage: coats and bags can go in the free lockers, but suitcases cannot be left anywhere, so this is not a stop to make with bags in tow on the way to or from the station.
