Aqua Park Shinagawa is a public aquarium, open since 2005, a short walk from Shinagawa Station. The dolphin performance comes with the entry ticket and all seats are unreserved, and tickets are sold at the door right up to last entry, so there is nothing to book in advance. Two attractions cost extra, Dolphin Party and Port of Pirates, and each has its own age or height rule. Wagons, kick scooters, balance bikes and tricycles have to stay outside, and strollers cannot be rented. Children under three go in free, but the aquarium’s wording leaves it unclear whether a three-year-old needs a ticket. The catch is food: there is no restaurant, only drinks and snacks at Coral Cafe Bar and The Stadium Shop, and you cannot bring your own food or drink in. Your ticket allows re-entry as many times as you like on the day, so going out for a proper meal and coming back is possible.
