Yoyogi Park has been a public park in central Tokyo since 1967, and its Cycling Center, Pedarico, is the part built with children in mind. It rents bikes with and without training wheels, plus tandems and helmets, and has a toddler course set aside for training-wheel bikes, so the youngest riders are not sharing a path with adults.
The rest of the day is easy to fit around it. Kiosks and a Doutor café are spread across the park, public toilets are dotted around the grounds, and two rest houses, a hexagonal one and the ‘three mushrooms’, serve as a base for groups of small children. On 3 November 2026 the park hosts both a jazz festival and its Park Festa.
The trade-off is rain: bike rental stops in wet weather or when the course is in poor condition, so the cycling is not something to count on for a day fixed in advance.
