How we chose these ten
Each park below has its own page on JuniorTravelClub, built from the park’s official information: ticket bands, free entry for the youngest, baby facilities and what helps when children run out of patience. We picked ten of the best-known parks in Asia and the Gulf and pulled out the detail that matters most to families.
1. Tokyo Disneyland, Japan
At Tokyo Disneyland the youngest children get in free, and kids stay in the cheapest ticket band through primary-school age, which keeps the cost of bringing small children down. Seasonal programmes change the park’s look through the year.
2. Tokyo DisneySea, Japan
Tokyo DisneySea sits beside its sister park in Tokyo. The Tokyo Disney Resort App offers services for shorter attraction waits — which matters most when children run out of patience before the queue does.
3. Universal Studios Japan, Osaka
Universal Studios Japan in Osaka is home to Super Nintendo World, and the park runs seasonal events across much of the year, so check the calendar on its page when you pick your dates.
4. Hong Kong Disneyland
Hong Kong Disneyland puts Toy Story Land, Mystic Point and Grizzly Gulch in one park, with free entry for the youngest children.
5. Everland, South Korea
At Everland near Seoul, rides and animals share one site, so a family can move between a roller coaster and a safari zone without leaving the park. Strollers and wagons can be rented inside, and there is an infirmary by the main gate.
6. Universal Studios Beijing, China
At Universal Studios Beijing children who know Harry Potter or Kung Fu Panda can walk into those worlds and eat in them too, at Three Broomsticks or Mr. Ping’s Noodle House.
7. Legoland Malaysia
Legoland Malaysia in Johor Bahru plans for being small: DUPLO Playtown has no height restriction at all, and rides such as LEGO NINJAGO The Ride and LEGO City Airport open up to very small children as long as an adult rides with them.
8. IMG Worlds of Adventure, Dubai
IMG Worlds of Adventure in Dubai is entirely indoors, so heat or rain doesn’t change the plan, and it is open every day of the year. Every toilet block has changing and feeding facilities, and there is a dedicated Kids Zone for smaller children.
9. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi
Ferrari World Abu Dhabi gives you a full theme-park day with the climate taken out of the equation, and baby facilities and stroller hire mean younger siblings can come along too.
10. Fuji-Q Highland, Japan
Fuji-Q Highland keeps its youngest visitors in their own quarter: Thomas Land has a dozen attractions and its own pass, so a child too small for the big coasters still gets a full day, while older children take on the park’s large coasters.
