The Technisches Museum Wien is a technology and automobile museum, founded and opened to the public in 1918 in a listed building designed by Emil von Förster. It is a 10-minute walk from the U4 at Schönbrunn or the U3 at Johnstraße.
Almost all exhibition levels can be reached by wheelchair, the exception being the historic mine, and standard wheelchairs are lent free at the cash desk. Coin lockers for coats are to the left of the main entrance. Guided tours, workshops and events are ticketed on top of admission.
