Brighton Palace Pier is a Grade II* listed pier that doubles as an amusement park. Its play area, Palace Play, only lets in children under 1.5 metres unless they are accompanying a member of the party, and the Palace Play Café just across from its entrance gates serves barista coffee, soft drinks, slushies, cakes and light snacks.
The age of the structure shows underfoot: some areas of the pier are uneven or bumpy because of what it is and how old it is. All opening times are subject to change and depend on the weather, and the pier stops charging admission once rides, kiosks or the restaurant start closing for the evening, though that point is not fixed.
