Weltvogelpark Walsrode opened as a bird park in 1962. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks, but there is no designated picnic lawn. The table-service Rosencafé has a baby changing room and can warm baby food, possibly only during the season.
Opening hours change from day to day, and the ticket desks close an hour before the park does. For adults, online day tickets start lower than the price at the entrance cash desk.
Noise-cancelling headphones for children and adults can be borrowed against a deposit at the Imbiss Spielplatz snack bar. Wheelchairs can be hired for a fee in the souvenir shop, and electric scooters can be hired if you phone ahead. Near the ticket desk there is a short-stop zone where people with disabilities can get out and reach the entrance cash desk without barriers.
