KidZania Tokyo is booked by the session, not by the day. The site runs two separate sessions with a complete changeover between them: one group leaves before the next comes in, so the visit you plan is a block of time rather than a drop-in. Reservations go through the online calendar, which also marks the closed days, and each session’s reservation window closes during the day itself. Same-day tickets are sold in limited numbers and can run out, and for the later session the entry order numbers are handed out earlier in the day.
Inside, the rules are consistent enough to plan around. Four restaurants operate on site, and allergy information for each is available there on the day. Lockers are not available within the facility itself; paid coin lockers and larger luggage storage sit by the entrance counter, so what you carry in is settled before you go in rather than after. Cards, transport IC cards and QR payments are accepted, and tickets can still be paid for in cash at a convenience store or on site.
The thing to weigh before you commit: leave before your session closes and you cannot come back in. Each session is one continuous stretch with the whole family inside it, so there is no stepping out to rest a tired child and returning later.
