Argentina’s leading natural history museum is built around dinosaur fossils, taxidermy mammals and an Antarctic wildlife room, pitched at a level that keeps school-age kids reading labels rather than racing past them. It’s a reliable rainy-day fallback in a city with relatively few indoor attractions built specifically for children.
The paleontology room, with real fossil specimens rather than replicas, tends to be the highlight for dinosaur-obsessed 6 to 10-year-olds. Younger toddlers may find the dim lighting and glass cases less engaging than an outdoor park.
Children under 6 enter free; buy tickets on-site rather than expecting online booking. Arrive earlier in the day, since the museum’s hours are relatively short and last entry is around 30 minutes before closing.
