Where curiosity is the only packing essential
Counted across the country pages in Asia. Each country page has the details.
Asia rewards children who ask questions, because almost nothing here works the way it does at home — not the breakfast, not the traffic, not the toilets. Distances are long enough that most families pick one country and stay put, and the ones who do usually come home wishing they had stayed longer.
Eating out is the easy part. Street stalls and food courts let children choose their own dinner at eye level, and a fussy eater who will not read a menu will often try something they watched being cooked. Heat is the harder part: from April onwards, plan the day around a long indoor middle and save the walking for early morning.
