Tokyo Summerland combines a water park with a theme park, and the covered Adventure Dome is built to be used in any weather. Small children can use most of the park’s facilities as long as a parent or guardian is with them; the exceptions are attractions that post their own explicit restrictions.
Families with babies are well looked after. The baby room is set up for nursing and nappy changes, and it has hot water for formula, although formula and baby food are not sold in the park. Men’s toilets also have changing tables. You can bring your own packed lunch, but ordering from outside delivery services once you are inside is not allowed. If a child has allergies, note that every restaurant cooks all ingredients, including the eight major allergens, in the same kitchens with shared equipment; ingredient lists are available at each outlet on request.
The trade-off is weather on the outdoor side. For safety, rides can be stopped because of weather or other conditions, and the park gives no refund or compensation when that happens. Cards and e-money work at the ticket office, restaurants and shops, but parking has to be paid in cash.
