Sunway Lagoon is a theme park in Subang Jaya, founded in 1993. A single ticket covers every park inside it and the rides within, from Captain’s Splash Adventure, which has the lowest height limit, up to Flowrider, Pirate’s Revenge and the Lost City of Gold Scream Coaster. A few extras, including Bungy Jump, G-Force X, Go Kart and the EV boats, are paid per ride on top.
Height limits are set ride by ride rather than by area, so it pays to match your child against the list before planning a route. Children must be with an adult at all times anywhere in the park. If you want to skip queues, the paid Quack Xpress pass covers 20 rides and attractions.
Bags are checked at the entrance, and outside food and drink is turned away unless it is for an infant or a special medical need; food and drinks are sold inside. Tube and locker counters sit at Zulu Walk, Surf Beach and Sunway Lost Lagoon, wheelchairs are available inside the park, and both cash and cards are accepted. You can buy tickets at the gate, but online tickets have to be bought at least 24 hours before your visit.
The catch is the weather: thunderstorms close the outdoor attractions, tickets are non-refundable, and the wristband is valid for one entry only, so a stormy afternoon cannot be swapped for a return later.
