Saqsaywaman is an archaeological park just outside Cusco. Within the complex you find ceremonial temples, an artificial lagoon, the great esplanade and the rodadero (Suchuna), a natural rock slide that tends to become the part younger children remember. Entry is sold through Cusco’s tourist ticket rather than at a standalone price, and the partial Circuit I ticket also covers Q’enqo, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. That is the trade-off: the partial ticket lasts a single day, so to get its full value you need to fit all four sites into the same day, which is a lot at Cusco’s altitude with children. Families planning a slower pace can look at the integral ticket instead. Tickets are bought in person, not online, and they carry the buyer’s name, so bring ID for everyone who needs a ticket.
