Getting there is straightforward by public transport. City buses run frequently from all parts of Hyderabad to Afzalgunj, a short walk from the museum, and the nearest metro station is MGBS. The trade-off is what you carry: large bags and backpacks are discouraged, and sharp objects, scissors, lighters and matchboxes are not allowed inside, so the family day bag goes into the cloak room before you enter the galleries.
