The Sagrada Família has its own stop on Metro lines L2 and L5, and several city bus routes also stop there. The basic ticket lets you spend as long as you like in the Basilica and its museum, with an audioguide in an app; the towers and the crypt are not part of it. All of the Basilica is accessible except the towers, and wheelchairs can be requested at entrance B on Carrer de la Marina, subject to availability. The trade-off is rigidity: tickets are sold only online for a fixed time, latecomers cannot enter, and as a rule tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded, so the visit has to be planned around that slot.

Tips & tricks

Book a timed slot before you travel – it regularly sells out and there is no useful walk-up option in summer. The audio guide has a children’s version worth taking. Tower access is a separate add-on with a minimum age and a lift up but stairs down, which is tight and not for anyone uneasy with heights.
