Petra is an ancient city in Jordan, today an archaeological site listed as a World Heritage Site. Visits begin at the Visitor Center in Wadi Musa, and from there the site is explored on foot across a large area.
The trade-off is effort: the site involves a lot of walking and climbing, and sturdy shoes, a hat, sunscreen and plenty of water are advised. Because there are restrooms and restaurants within the site as well as near the entrance, you don’t have to walk back out for a break. On selected evenings the Petra Night Show runs on its own ticket, which the Jordan Pass does not cover.
