Food is handled on site: the museum canteen, open to visitors as well as staff, serves breakfast, snacks and lunch, and there is also a Cafe at Museum on the premises. Food and drink are not allowed in the galleries, so meals happen there rather than on the move. The trade-off is timing: the canteen breaks at midday and closes well before the museum does, which matters most on weekend evenings when the galleries stay open late. Photography is allowed without flash; video is not, unless permission is given in advance. Free guided tours are offered through the museum’s Visiting/Volunteer Guides Programme. The entrances and lifts are wheelchair-friendly.
