Everything at the Museu de les Ciències is under one roof, and the restaurants and ticket offices are on the ground floor. Younger children pay a reduced rate, as do over-65s, pensioners and people with disabilities, but only if you show a supporting document. Large families and single-parent families get a discount on both the general and the reduced rate, again with supporting documents.
The Science Theatre is included in general admission. You must collect a free reservation pass at the first-floor information point on the day of your visit, and passes are subject to availability. Some activities, such as the space simulator and a guided tour on Mars, cost a small extra, and that programme changes with the season.
Ticket offices close an hour before the museum does. If you want to add the Hemisfèric or the Oceanogràfic, a combined ticket covers one, two or three consecutive days, but you cannot visit the same building twice. The Umbracle car park has a reduced day rate if you hold a ticket to any City of Arts and Sciences building. It is valid until closing time.
The trade-off is the Science Theatre: it is included in your ticket, but you only get in with a pass collected on the day, and those passes can run out.
