The Treetop Trail closes half an hour before the zoo does and can shut without notice in bad weather; in cooler months it opens by noon, weather permitting.
Strollers are allowed throughout the zoo except in the Weesner Family Amphitheater and the Target Learning Center, and single and double strollers can be rented on a first-come, first-served basis.
Public transport is a weekday option only: from the METRO Red Line at Mall of America, connect at Cedar Grove Transit Station to bus Route 440, which runs to the zoo several times a day, Monday to Friday.
