Malbork Castle is a Gothic Ordensburg in the town of Malbork, founded in 1270, with both Gothic and Gothic Revival architecture, and listed as a World Heritage Site and a Historical Monument of Poland.
Tickets are sold for two routes: the Historical Castle Route and the Castle Grounds Route. On the Historical Castle Route, families can use the Family Audio Guide, which comes at the price of the route with an audio guide – ask for the version for families with children when you collect the device. In summer only, the Castle Vacation Route tours the entire castle with a dedicated guide and adds games and attractions. The Castle Monastery Route is unavailable due to conservation work.
Children up to 7 go in free, though they need a ‘0’ ticket from the museum’s box office, and a family ticket on the Historical Castle Route is open to one or two guardians with children aged 7 to 18. During the spring-summer season, Mondays are free admission days, but only the Castle Grounds Route is open and the free tickets are collected on site at the ticket office.
There is parking and a number of restaurants near the castle complex, though the restaurants are not stated as being on site.
