Longleat Safari and Adventure Park, founded in 1966, is a safari park and zoo near Frome, home also to Longleat House. The centre of the day is the Drive-Through Safari; a Safari Bus Tour runs as a paid alternative, subject to availability on a first-come basis. On foot, children have the Adventure Castle and the Little Explorer’s Garden, both included with the day ticket.
The trade-off is timing: the Drive-Through Safari stops letting cars in well before the park itself closes, and in the winter months the cut-off can come earlier still, depending on light levels. That puts the safari at the start of the day and the play areas after it, not the other way round.
Pushchairs cannot go inside Longleat House for conservation reasons; there is a pushchair park at the front of the House.
