Kunsthaus Zürich spreads across two buildings, and both have baby-changing tables in the basement. Buggies are allowed in the exhibition rooms as long as no bags or food ride along in them, though the museum can limit them when it is crowded; if you would rather leave your own outside, the museum lends buggies free of charge.
Children aged 5 to 12 can pick up a children’s audioguide at the Infodesk at no cost, and it covers their companions too. The adult audioguide for the collection is free only if you bought your ticket online; at the desk it costs extra. Outside, the Garten der Kunst is open to everyone without a ticket, and Monster Chetwynd’s climbing sculpture “Zardoz” stands there with a tower and a slide – it is on display until 2027, used at your own risk, and children must be accompanied.
The thing to plan around is snacks. No food or drink is allowed in the collection or exhibition rooms, and that includes baby food and milk bottles; eating is limited to the entrance halls, the gardens and the café in the Moser building. Trams and bus 31 stop at “Kunsthaus”.
