Futuroscope is a theme park near Poitiers that opened in 1987. The entry ticket gives unlimited access to its attractions, entertainment and shows, with two exceptions: the attraction Les Yeux Grands Fermés and certain special events. A large share of the attractions is indoors, while the night show is staged in the open air whatever the weather; the park asks visitors to dress for it, and ponchos are sold in the park shops.
Height shapes the day for younger children. As soon as you arrive, have your child measured at an information point to get a bracelet: depending on their height, they can ride, or watch as a spectator where the attraction allows it.
You can leave the park and come back the same day: tell staff at the exit and they will stamp your hand.
The trade-off is crowds, which can be heavier during school holidays, weekends, public holidays and long weekends.
