Fårup Summer Park (Fårup Sommerland) is a Danish amusement park founded in 1975, with its water park, Aquaparken, inside the same gates. Once you have paid admission, the rides and the slides are all included, so you can move between them without buying anything extra.
The ride list runs from gentle to fierce. For the smallest there is Rundrejsen, a two-storey carousel, and Skovturen, an easy ride through the woodland. Mine-Expressen is a family train that runs 13 metres up, Saven goes both forwards and backwards, and Orkanen runs over and under the water. At the top end, the park bills Fønix as Denmark’s biggest, fastest and tallest roller coaster and Falken as the country’s fastest wooden coaster. In Aquaparken, Tangloppen is a mini version of the Stormfloden slide with a lower height limit, so younger children get their own take on what older siblings are riding.
Changing facilities are at the entrance and near Fønix, and there is a Babycare Center by Fårup Grill. Dogs on a leash are welcome in the park, but not in Aquaparken. Wheelchairs can be hired by reserving ahead by phone; numbers are limited.
The catch is flexibility. Ticket prices vary, and a ticket is tied to the date you bought it for: you can move it to another opening day in the same season, but only by paying any price difference plus a fee. Buying a day ticket in the webshop at least two days ahead gives a small discount, which can’t be combined with other offers.
