Cali Zoo is a zoo in the city of Cali, Colombia, founded in 1981.
One rule shapes the day more than any other: food and drinks may not be brought in, so meals come from the zoo’s own outlets, which serve typical Colombian dishes, grilled food and fast food. The zoo says it considers exceptions for babies, allowing in water and hand fruit, but it describes this as an exception it considers rather than a standing allowance.
For younger children, carts can be hired at the shop by the main entrance for an extra charge, subject to availability. Skates, scooters, tricycles, bicycles and children’s carts are only allowed in when an adult is in control of them.
