The easiest way in is the Din Din Barron Falls boardwalk, an elevated walk through the rainforest canopy to the falls lookout. From there you can watch the Skyrail gondolas glide above the far side of the gorge, and twice a day the Kuranda Scenic Railway train pulls into the platform below. The park itself is part of the trip if you arrive by that railway or by Skyrail rather than by car. For a short leg-stretch with smaller children, the Stoney Creek walk passes clear pools and small waterfalls and ends on a large boulder above the creek. The trade-off is the terrain: this is a gorge with cliff edges and steep rock faces, and the park asks visitors to keep clear of them and supervise children carefully.
