Ardastra’s day is organised around a fixed schedule: flamingo shows several times a day, keeper talks morning and afternoon, and two paid add-ons, an interactive tortoise experience and a rabbit feeding, each at a set time. It pays to arrive with the timetable in mind, so you can plan the rest of the visit around the slots your children care about. There is no need to book ahead, but every visitor has to sign a waiver form before entering. The trade-off is the ground: the grounds are wheelchair accessible but the terrain can be uneven, which also matters with a stroller, and the restrooms are not wheelchair accessible. The park is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
