Municipal Zoological Park Quinzinho de Barros

Quinzinho de Barros is Sorocaba’s city zoo, founded in 1968. Entry is cheap, and the youngest children cost nothing at all.

The trade-off is timing within the day. The serpentarium and the mandrill, bear and otter enclosures close before the rest of the park, so if those are the animals your children came for, see them first rather than saving them for the walk out.

Pack light on toys: balls, balloons and inflatables are not allowed, and neither are scooters, skates, skateboards or bikes, so a child who expects to ride around the paths needs to know that before you leave home.
