OUR FAMILY ASSESSMENT

Family Intelligence

Tazekka was founded as a national park in 1950. For families, two places shape a visit. At Bab-Boudir, the leisure complex has a children’s playground and an outdoor pool that opens in summer. The other is Friouato Cave, visited only with experienced guides; a short tourist visit generally costs a small supplement of about 10 MAD. The park has cafés, and at the Aïn Bechar camp it is best to arrange meals of simple local dishes with the owners in advance. The trade-off is the cave entrance: a long concrete staircase with high steps leads down a vertical shaft, and it asks for at least basic fitness from every member of the family.

Why kids will love it

Children can climb down into a real cave with a guide, then cool off at the summer pool and playground at Bab-Boudir.
