Edifício Altino Arantes is a skyscraper in the historic centre of São Paulo, founded in 1939 and opened in 1947, and protected by the state heritage body CONDEPHAAT. Today it runs as Farol Santander, and one visitor ticket takes you through the temporary and permanent exhibitions and up to the watchtower and the café near the top.
The ground floor hall is where everything starts: ticket office, lockers, shop and turnstiles. You can use the hall, its shop and café, and some of the bars without buying a visitor ticket, which helps if only part of the family wants to go up.
The skatepark inside the tower is the detail children tend to notice. The visitor ticket lets you look at it, but skating there needs its own ticket, and that ticket does not cover the other floors, so decide in advance which of the two your family is there for.
