Crocoparc combines a crocodile zoo with a botanical garden, and it has been open to the public since 2015. The paths take pushchairs, and there are toilets with baby facilities, so a day with a toddler is workable.
For children there is more to do than watch reptiles. A small play area by the restaurant has water slides and a climbing tower, while the larger ‘route of the crocodile’ has carved crocodiles and two more towers. The Monkey Bridge is a suspended course through the Cactus Garden, and the animation team runs outdoor workshops through the year: masks, face painting, origami, pottery. Crocodile feeding happens several times a day in summer, but the timing depends on temperature, and in cold winter spells the animals can go months without a meal, so do not plan the visit around it.
The one thing to know before packing: picnics are not allowed, so lunch means one of the park’s own dining spots. The restaurant has high chairs and a microwave for warming bottles.
