Texas Hollywood, also called Fort Bravo, is a film set turned theme park: a western town you can walk through between live shows. The shows are aimed at a broad audience, families and children included, and the ticket covers more than most: every daily show, a horse-drawn carriage ride, the carriage and saddle museum, an indoor swimming pool and parking. That makes the price at the gate close to the cost of the day, with lunch the main extra; there is a home-style restaurant inside the town.
The trade-off is planning around the programme: opening times and show times can change with the season, so the shows you build the visit around may not run at the same hour on every date.
