Family Intelligence

At the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, admission includes the Changing Landscapes and Mythic Creatures exhibitions. The trade-off: Gates Planetarium, the Sturm Theater and the laser shows are add-ons priced on top of admission, so a family that wants a show as well pays per person for each one. On SCFD Free Days and Free Nights, general admission is free and no ticket is needed; the dates left in 2026 are 11 October, the evening of 7 November, and 16 November. School-age Denver residents and DPS students with a MY Denver Card get in free throughout December 2026, cardholder only. All-gender restrooms are on every level, and changing tables are in most, though not all, of them. The T.REX Cafe has a seasonal entrance onto the Sturm Family Plaza, and on most Fridays the museum stays open into the evening.
